The poker competition World Heads Up championship, a tournament played in the modality No Limit Holdem and one against one, took place in London since the 27 until the 31 of October at the Casino Victoria. In this occasion the winner of the championship was the Cyprus’ player Mambos Xanthos, who confronted the British James Mitchell in the final.
After two very intense semi-finals that lasted more than four hours and confronted Bambos with the Russian Victor Ilyukin and James Mitchell with Lawrence Houghton, the final wasn’t less intense and offered an incredible spectacle.
The tournament winner obtained a fantastic prize of £65.000, while James brought home £30.000 and the two semi-finalists £15.500 each, which is not bad at all for a tournament that only lasted four days.
